Logging Out

Your character stays in the world when you disconnect.

Log out inside a locked house

Your body remains in the world and can be killed while you are offline. Log out inside a locked house with every door closed. Logging out does not make you safe from attacks.

  • Go inside your secured base and close the doors.
  • Store spare valuables in protected storage; chests themselves are unlocked.
  • Check that your bed is assigned and your flagpole is maintained.
  • Eat and drink before leaving for a long time.

A closed house reduces exposure, but it can still be raided. Choose a protected room away from open entrances.

What happens to your body?

Disconnecting leaves a sleeping body with your current health, inventory, and equipped armor. Other players can kill it. If it dies, your carried equipment drops in loot bags and can be taken or despawn.

Being offline does not pause the world or make your property invulnerable. Your flagpole and buildings still follow the normal decay rules while the server runs.

Hunger & thirst while offline

Sleeping bodies have a 4-day grace period before offline food, water, and oxygen drain begins. This grace only delays vital drain; it does not protect you from being killed.

After grace expires, food drains at 1.08 points per hour and water at 1.08 points per hour. Empty food or water then causes health loss. Remaining supplies matter, so topping up before logging out helps.

The timer follows time while the server is running, including when no players are online. It pauses while the server is stopped; restarting does not reset the remaining grace period.

When you reconnect

If your body survives, you return with its remaining health and supplies. If it was killed, you must respawn and recover any loot that is still there. A server restart does not undo a sleeping body’s death.
